Hi there,
Since upgrading to a large HD TV the video on my divx files is noticably worse due to the higher res of the tv when veiwing in full screen mode. I want to keep using full screen mode as i use theatre mode all the time.
I dont want to use window mode as the background is distracting.
What i want is to change the size of the picture (not aspect ratio)so that the whole picture is smaller (maybe 20% smaller) just so the picture doesnt look so stretched....but i want the background (or border) to be completely black.
Is there a way i can do this? Or can this be a request for next time.
Thanks for your help...l.

This feature is now in MC12. You can play in full screen mode, and zoom video out, to as far as its native size.

Ok, i downloaded the beta of 12 but so far i see no zoom option, can you tell me where it is...
Thanks
P.s you might want to move this post to the Version 12 forum.
Thanks again.

Make sure you are playing in DirectShow, not in Quicktime, or Real, or WMP. While video is playing point your mouse to anywhere in the video and turn your mouse wheel. Sorry, this is only supported with mouse wheel.

OK, that seems to work,
I dont actually use a scroll mouse as i have a laptop and use a MCE remote when it sits under the TV. Can this not be built in to Media Centre so thet when pressing the up and down arrows when veiwing in full screen mode it does the zoom thing.....as they dont do anything at the moment.........
Or would i raise this as a feature request?
Thanks again....
