Title: Crash on startup and Can't uninstall

I keep getting a blue screen and a crash in "USBSTOR.SYS" when trying to startup MC 11.201. I don't know if this means usb storage but I don't have any such devices connected.   I have tried reinstalling but get the same crash.  So, I am trying to uninstall but the uninstall just hangs at about 25% done (I am selecting "remove registry entries" only).  Help?

Help, please.  I can't start up MC and can't uninstall it either so I am really stuck.  I even tried to uninstall in Windows Safe Mode but it still hangs??

I was finally able to uninstall by checking the "Remove Library Files" option.  I rebooted, installed 11.1.201 again and I get a general "Send to Microsoft" error dialog when starting MC for the first.  MC then closes and when I try to run it again I get the blue screen with the error in USBSTOR.SYS again.  What's going on??

What version of Windows are you running? Have you had problems on this machine with other versions (builds) of MC?

Hi,

I am running XP with all the updates.  It turns out it appears to by my external USB DVD drive.  If I turn it off before running MC all is fine however I get the blue screen if it's on.  I don't seem to have any problems in other programs (WMP, etc.).  It is a Samsung SE-S164L drive and I have installed the Nero OEM programs that came with it.  Any ideas?  Thanks.
