I've noticed an annoying behavior with iTunes and MC12.
Basically, I used iTunes once to setup a new Nano, by customizing the name. Then I switched to MC12, initialized the Nano database, and transferred over a bunch of music. Worked fine, they all turned up with cover art.
However, I needed to make a quick change to the iPod name, so started up iTunes. With no prompting, it went ahead and "updated iPod library". While all the music is still there, now all the cover art is gone!
Also, in iTunes, every song is flagged as containing explicit lyrics.
This is really annoying, since iTunes is now required to update firmware, and there is no way of stopping it from messing up the library.

We're working on it...
What is the model number listed on your Nano under Settings>About>Model?
Thanks,
Rick

I think the model is MA1199, I posted it to the thread on identifying iPods.
