I've been unable to submit new CD's to YABD. I get an error message:
Action: Failed
Status: unable to add to database
I click okay, then it comes up with "unable to find CD in database", and my new cd the is listed in MC with all the tracks, etc as unknown. Given my poor typing abilities, it's very frustrating to spend all that time typing for nothing!
This happens with both MC 12.0.104 and 11.1.201
I'm using Zone alarm for my firewall, and have given permissions to MC every time it asks, not sure what else to try. I did search the forums here, and found a user with MJ8 having the same problem.

Let me know the approximate time, the artist and the album, I'll take a look.
Thanks,

There were two cd's, A Ray Charles Christmas, by Ray Charles and A Classic Cartoon Christmas, various artists. I initially tried uploading somewhere between 8:00pm and 10:00pm, EST this evening (October 31)
When I inserted the cd's again, and tried to cancel the YADB lookup, MC crashed totally. Then the third time around 11:30, I just typed a few letters in each field. I still got the errors, but as long as I kept the CD in, I could then go into MC and edit the info so I could rip the cd to file. So you may have a couple of nonsense cd that were attempted to upload at that time.

I'm getting the same error on 12.103. It's a compilation CD (Album Artist = "Housexy"). Album Name = "Housexy, Sounds of Summer - CD 1". Time = 9.46PM Australian Eastern Time (Sydney).

We did some "routine" maintenance yesterday that took YADB offline, unnoticed by us. This happened sometime during the afternoon. I've fixed it, please try again.
Very sorry for the trouble,

Thanks, it's working now!

Having the exact same problem with 12.123. The most frustrating part is that all the info I manually typed in was discarded. Would it be possible for MC to at least save the data in the MC library when there's an error submitting to YADB?

Another vote for temporary storage. I'm getting unable to add to dbase errors tonight as well and having to retype just to try it again (and get same error) is getting tedious.
thanks,
mike
