Apologies if some of these questions are answered in this thread or elsewhere...
I just connected by 20gig 3G iPod to MC11 with no problems. Everything on the iPod is reported in MC, including all of my iTunes playlists and smarlists. Can these be transferred to MC?
I want to pretty much wipe the iPod and reload from MC. Should I initialize, or should I simply create new MC playlists and check and sync those; will MC remove all of the old iTunes-loaded songs?
thx

Try using IE for that purpose. MC doesn't do it.

Sorry, Jim, I'm not clear on what "that purpose" is referring to (playlists or wiping ipod drive).
thx
-
Sorry, I thought you meant how to copy music from the iPod. I don't know on playlists.

You can save the iTunes playlists to files (right-click on the playlist and select 'Export Song List...') and import them into MC12. To import them into MC12, select 'Import Folder...' from the Tools menu, specify the folder and tick the 'iTunes Playlists' file type.

Excellent! I'll try that tonight.
Thx

Just checked this -- is this an MC12 thing? don't see import folder in MC11.
thx

That is correct, sir. It's MC 12 only.

Well importing playlists into mc 12 as either txt files or htm worked like a cham once i realized it simply loaded the playlist into playing now. I then had to save the songs as a playlist. No problem although the instructions in this area were non existing.
