I'm really stuck here...
For ages I've been planning to convert my standalone .EXE into a proper plugin, and I've finally taken the plunge. I guess I should have tried it with MC11 first, but I've totally cut over to MC12 now, so I don't know if I'm making things harder for myself...
Anyway, the problem is, I've written it as a plugin, and it appears in the plugins section, next to the Library Server, and it works - but only if it's displayed! As soon as you switch to another part of the MC interface, it gets unloaded!
Any ideas how I can ensure the plugin runs regardless of whether it's displayed or not?
It's written in VB6, and is just an OCX.
Any ideas? I'm really stumped.
Thanks

In the plugin's registry entry, set the PluginMode value to 1

thanks :-)
so how do you know that then?
I couldn't see that in the documentation anywhere...

I have no idea. I just know it. I must have read it somewhere, but I couldn't say where now.

It's one of those things that's not supposed to be documented.
It's passed down from Plugin Writer to plugin writer ;)

hehe
so does that mean you have to delete this thread now?
sweep it under the JRiver carpet? :-)
