Title: Inconsistent cover art problem

i use folder.jpg for all my files with one notable exception - podcasts. the folder.jpg files all work as expected, but the podcasts (all of which have art inside file) don't work as expected, for instances i have:

BBC Radio 2 Wake Up With Wogan - art inside file, shows up in playing now (cover art spectrum) and in display window (obv when playing it). does NOT show up in album thumbnails view or in tiny thumbnail image in details view (just completely blank). image tag says correctly inside file.
BBC World News Bulletin - art inside file, shows up correctly as expected everywhere.

I can't copy to clipboard (first file) the art in a podcast file like prod's BBC2 files (art is inside file but doesn't show in thumbnails). When i try to paste the art MC tells me nothing is i my clipboard.
