Title: Background Task to Download Podcasts?

Is there a way to have Medica Center start when the computer starts as a background service for the automatic downloading of podcasts?

There's a program you can use that can start any Windows application as a service, which you can use with MC.  I don't know how it works, but if you search the forums (change the days ago limit to 6000 or something), I'm sure you'll find it.  Search for "run service" or something similar.
