I notice some weird problems when playing back DivX AVIs with VMR enabled.
1) Total brightness of the video seems to jump up and down unpredictably, in the middle of scenes. I've seen this in a number of videos.
2) Colors seem washed out, contrast is low.
Disabling VMR (thanks for this option!) seems to solve these problems completely, though brightness settings need to be reset.
I understand that VMR9 is known to be a bit buggy, but MC12 seems to have slightly more problems on playback than a couple of other programs I've used. Though actually, Windows Media Player uses VMR7, and I have also disabled VMR in ZoomPlayer...
