Is it possible for MC to suspend the Windows normal screensaver when MC is running in Theater View? For example, my PC is set to go into screensaver mode if there is no keyboard activity in 20 minutes. I don't want the screensaver to start up if I'm using Theater View during a party.

Just turn off the screensaver before the party ;).

I See No Point In Using A Screen Saver.
Screen Savers Use Resources
If Downloaded From The Internet They Can Be Used To Spread Viruses Or Trojans.
Windows Allows The Monitor To Be Turned Off, So You Save Money On Your Electric Bill.
It May Not Look As Cool How Ever

It's the Windows built in screensaver and power saving option. But that's not really the point. To answer someones question with "just don't use it" isn't very helpful.

We disable the screensaver in fullscreen display view, but not in Theater View. (lots of Theater View users are worried about burn-in)
Perhaps it could be optional in the future.

An option to disable it would be great! I use theater view a lot. Not much trouble with burn-in these days on LCD monitors. Thanks Matt.

This is what I was going to say -- i.e. that those of us using CRT or plasma type TV displays NEED the screen saver in order to avoid burn in, which is a very real concern on these TV types. If Theater View did not have the screen saver kick in, I simply couldn't use Theater View in my current system.

Hi, any plans to implement this as an option?

An option sounds good and just on this, I've always wondered if MC could be a bit smarter about when the screensaver kicks in while in Display View. For example, if I pause playback, I risk burn in on my plasma if I forget to switch back to Theater View. I think it would be great if MC allowed the screensaver to kick in for Display View if playback has been paused for more that the Windows screen saver timeout period.
Thanks
