Title: Cataloging .srt files
Post by: Lesterst on November 28, 2006, 12:45:09 pm
Hi,
Is it possible to import .srt files into the documents folder?  I would like to be able to view (via send to external) and manage  subtitle files independently of video.
  Thanks.

I just found a reference by Alex B to exactly what I want to do.

Is this importing of srt and vob files to an all media view possible in MC 11.1? or is it a new feature of MC 12?

Thanks.

I think I figured it out.
If I drag and drop .srt files from the explorer window into the MC playing now window I can catalogue and tag them fine and they are seen as documents.  It is only when I try to use the import folder function that MC doesnt seem to recognize them.

This is exactly how I do it. Srt is not one of the default extensions so the import tool doesn't work.

In this post I explained how I add tags to my subtitle files:
