Title: How to convert XML Library export data into list of Albums and Artists?

I've  been playing around with the XML export option, under the library menu.

Is there a simple way to transform the XML data into just a list of albums & artists?

MC XML Export will certainly do this.  Do a search on INTERACT - but make sure it goes at least a few years back.  One topic is http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=29638.0

Search/Replace from www.funduc.com (http://www.funduc.com) can transform anything into anything. You can create search/replace scripts to run as batch jobs. Unfortunately not freeware, but worth the money. I use it all the time to convert csv files into mpl playlist which I then import into MC12.
Some templates are available like htm to text conversion.

It may be better to export to txt, mpl or html format with the export playlist feature.
