Title: iPod encoding cache... THANKS!!!!
Post by: kiwi on December 01, 2006, 11:33:34 pm
I just fired up mc12 for the first time.  (I've been without a computer attached to my stereo for too long  :( )  I plugged in my iPod and everything worked SOOOOO much better than with mc11.

Then I was just playing with all the settings and I saw that it will keep a cache of the songs that it has transcoded for my iPod so that it presumably doesn't have to do it all over again.  This is AWESOME!!!  Thank you so much.

I had been thinking about what I was going to do for my home music system and the Mac Mini with iTunes had started to look favourable, but this has thrown that to the back of the line.

The next thing that I have to look at is DVD playing (well, playing DVD files that are stored on the hard drive.)

Thanks for the awesome product, you always keep making it so much better.

that's excellent news, I trust it works for all transcoding and not just transcoding for iPods (cause that would be just silly ;-)

My phone accepts only mp3's but all my music in MC is in Ogg Vorbis and my dedicated "MP3 player" also plays ogg...

It works for all handheld devices.
