Title: Direct-X Host Crash- Vista

After installing the Direct-X Host MC crashes whenever I:
 Open the DSP Manager or
 Start to ply a selection

This is under Vista Business, never happens under XP.
The OS was a clean install, not an upgrade and of course so is MC 12.

This happens even if there are no Direct-X plugins on the system.

Any ideas?
