While it remains unlikely that an ancient Martian civilization left a bunch of reactors for Arnold to use to terraform the planet's surface, NASA has just found strong evidence of one of the key elements of life: liquid water on the surface of Mars in the past decade. New photos taken by the Mars Global Surveyor satellite show "bright new deposits" in a two gullies. The same gullies photographed in August 1999 shows no such deposits.

These images give the strongest evidence yet that liquid subsurface water is indeed present on Mars currently, and that it is emerging (geyser style) and briefly flowing down slopes.

I think it is a slice of pineapple, Left out for a day and photographed here on earth.
If you look close you can see the "dole" label off to the one edge

My God... are you saying we're importing fruit from Mars?
-
I confess...
Last time I was there (I think it was August 2003 if I remember correctly), I spilt about 20 litres of spring water. It wasn't really my fault, I had a buddy with me who was a clumsy oaf (Tip for beginners: never take friends who are clumsy oafs into space). He tripped over a plastic tube which connected the spring water bottle to our mobile spa. Due to the slope of the crater and the low gravity, it spread across the surface with great rapidity. It looks like a lot more than it really is.
We were pretty embarrased about the whole thing, and bailed out of there pretty quickly to avoid blame.
It feels good to finally get it off my chest; it's been gnawing away at me all these years...
I s'pose someone will sue me for something or other once they find out...
