The firefox issue may be a ff plug-in. At least I seem to recall a similar problem that was due to this.

Jim...
Can we have a clue?
FoxyTunes causing crashes maybe?
-
That was my guess on the answer. I don't remember the exact question.
-
I think the Forum should randomly match up questions and answers. Currently, people ask questions and other people answer them and problems get solved--where's the fun in that? Where's the sense of adventure, the tempting of Fate?
If I ran the Forum, a lot more things would operate on the lottery system. Not just all those questions questions questions, but feature requests, certainly, and maybe even bug fixes. We could even have monthly stonings, once we had a lottery.
The other thing is all these high-and-mighty experts. Sure, I admire their extensive knowledge and patience, but their prompt answers kind of leave one flat. Where are their skills of innuendo, of misdirection? Technical writing ought to read like a good whodunnit, IMO, where resolution doesn't come until the last sentence. Or the sequel.
-
;) I like it. Except for the stonings. That would hurt.
Steve Allen use to do a segment called "The Answer Man". He would be given an answer to which he had to come up with a question.
Example:
Answer: Go West
Question: What do wittle wabbits do when they get tiwed of wunning awound?
and so on....
-
Jim,
Correctly answering a non-existent question -- now that's customer service! Actually, the mod didn't lose it, I deleted the text b/c I couldn't figure out how to delete the whole post. After posting I tripped over the answer (drop the foxy plugin) in another post so I thought I'd kill this one to avoid confusion.
Thanks again,
mike

Thanks for reporting the answer to the missing question and solving the mystery of why it went missing.

I'm having he same issue.
When using MC12 with Firefox and FoxyTunes,
And you are play music,
And you close MC12 while the music is playing,
Firefox will crash.
JimH, thanks for the response. I can confirm that it is a FF add-on problem.
-
I don't know if this is still a concern but I'm experiencing the same issue. Firefox+foxytunes do not behave well when MC12 crashes. I guess the response I'm going to get is that this is an issue for the foxytunes developer. Well, at least I used the search feature instead of starting a new thread. :)
To others having the same issue: Let the Foxytunes developer know HERE (http://www.foxytunes.com/feedback.html).
-
Just as a FYI...
If you install Foxy for IE, then use Foxy for FF, FF will not crash when you close MC.
Weird, But it works.
-
So what is the conclusion? I haven't ever used Roxy Tunes, even with iTunes, but now that I realize most of my keyboard buttons don't work(!!!) it might be useful.
Does it work with MC? I'm not a huge fan of installing things that screw other things up but the answer is unclear if it is supposed to work or not. I don't see MC in the list of players.
Edit:

uhoo, no MC 12? So I guess I should downgrade?
Update: it works fine for me so far but the pause, play button always starts the song over.
-
If you pause the track, Press pause again to start playing.
I and alot of others were having a problem when MC closed, Firefox would close.
I installed both the Firefox and IE plugins, and now I do not have any crashes.
-
I noticed a new problem when I just tried the plugin where I think I would close MC and Firefox would then present a runtime error and close. Not sure if it will persist....hope not.

Did you even read the post from Gamer just above yours? ?

That was the original problem... Now install the IE version, and try it again.
