Title: error playing avi files with 12.0.129 on windows vista

I can't play avi files on build 12.0.129 on windows vista. it works on xp but not on vista. I get the following error code (it's translated from german)

DirectShow: one of the filter connections is already connected. Code=0x80040204

any ideas as to the solution?

Works just fine here, tried different versions of avi and xvid also mkv and ogm containers works just fine. Got vista final MSDN and using Vista codecs v.420. Try changing the filter settings, or using another codec altogether. Used to get errors like that whenever I had more than one codec available for one file in the old days.

just installed the vista codecs and now it works fine.
