I am going to upgrade from MC 10 to 11. I have approx 30000 ape music files and each album has its cover art saved in a folder where each individual file is named "artist - album". MC11 allows you to save cover art directly in the folder of the album as a folder.jpg., which would be useful both for MC11 and other programs. Is there a way to copy and rename the each file as a group or must it be done individually?
Thanks for the help.

at one time you could select that option and use update tags from library or update library from tags and media center would work.
not sure if it still works like that.

I tried that but it didn't seem to work. I could add the art one album at a time but doing it more than 3000 times is not particularly appealing.
-
import them all into media center, list them all in media center, select them all, change the [filename (name)] field for them all to folder.jpg, and finally, (if you want) press shift+delete and choose the option to remove them from your library.
Next step would then be to update the cover art info for all your albums.
-marko.

When I rename them, they become numbered (i.e folder.jpg; folder(1).jpg). I am certain I am being thick but:
Should I remove cover art from each album before beginning?
Should I change the setting in Options before beginning?
How do I update the cover info afterward.
Thanks for the help.
