Gentlemen,
I would love to examine the new features that MJ9 has to offer, especially the batch-exporting of playlists that's in the next release, but I'm worried about my license. I understand that to install MJ9 you need to completely uninstall MJ8. This is where my worries come into play: I know that I have a limited number of restores for MJ8 installs, and I'm timid about uninstalling MJ8 to try out MJ9.
After an uninstall, will my license information be retained and used for MJ9? And if I find that MJ9 doesn't work for me and I want to go back to the safety of MJ8, can I perform the uninstall/reinstall without needing to use a restore?

I went from MJ8 To MJ9 and Back To MJ8 and i did not need a restore.

I haven't used a restore yet. I reformatted my computer like 3 times. Once just recently to install a slipstreamed sp1 (final) install for xp. Works really nice.
When uninstalling, the license will still work going from 8 to 9 to 8. 9 is good..but needs more work yet.

Kurt,
The new version is a "conversation piece" at this point. Wait a week or two before trying it.
