It would be really nice if there was someway to do Scrollbar grippers,
the little bit in the middle that just gives them more texture.
Maybe there is, in which case is there an example somewhere of how they're
done?
I know they don't actually do anything, but it would look so much nicer!
Also I've mentione this one in the past, but a hot mode for the Search
bar, ie when somethings being typed in, it can go to a warmer image (With the fade effect of course).

check out <Entry Name="HorizontalHandle" in the splitter section of main.xml
I believe that's what you're after. In Noire, they are completely transparent. Off the top of my head, Aruba uses a textured handle?

OK, scrolbars, not splitter bars!!! apologies.
I robbed the scrollbars from Dragyn's "Opus MC (blue)" skin for "The Fly" and they have "grippy bits" that change on mouse over. Maybe check out the opus skin to see how Dave did it?
