From this view, you can select the film and either press "Play" or "Enter", followed by "Enter" again to select play from the drop down menu.

What about an intermediate screen when you press Enter that shows the film summary? I have cut and pasted the information in a somewhat basic format, but I'm sure you get the idea. As there are no standard fields, there could be an option to include one or two of user defined fields. For movie information, I store; Cast, Production credits and Sysnopsis ( as found at AllMovie.com ).

Love it!!! I've posted about this myself fairly recently suggesting IMDB lookups.
I also think that the bottom half of playing now (when playing video) could perhaps be utilised a little better with useful on screen info pertaining to the video being watched such as time remaining etc. Much like a track info viz for audio.
