I use Neroaacenc as an external encoder and I want to use Neroaactag for tagging.
I use the parameter -q 0.4 -if %IN -of %OUT
how do I activate the tagging.
Thx for help.

Nobody can help me?
Thx for help.

is there a method through Mc 12 to tag aac files (with a external programm like with external encoders?)
look at this thread : http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=34572.0 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=34572.0)
is there a way for sending infos to neroaactag.exe

or are there parameters for the external encoding. I want to use a other ogg encoder the Aotuv b5 and I want to tag while encoding... is this possible. Thx for answers....if someone posts

The external encoder plugin cannot pass library fields to the command line.
I have used Mp3tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html) for copying tags after encoding. It can copy all tags from a bunch of files to another bunch of files.

You can replace the default oggenc.exe file in the [MC Program Path]\Plugins folder with any oggenc.exe version. If the filename is "oggenc2.exe" you need to change it to "oggenc.exe" first.
The default encoding options use these quality settings:
Low = -q 1
Normal/Low = -q 3
Normal = -q 5
Normal/High = -q 7
High = -q 10
You can use any Oggenc command line with the custom option.

thx for help.
Iīve a question. Because itīs to difficult for me to write a plugin for mc, I want to make a workaround. My idea is to write a command line programm, which is connected with an aac and wavepack encoder. Then you use this programm as an external encoder, with parameters (which encoder, quality, etc).... and then you get the outputfiles. My question: In which format does Mc give the file to the encoder (mp3, wav,etc) and then are there existing tags. I want to tag the files after encoding directly. Can I get them from the file or somewhere else. Thx for replies.

old thread, but i think it deserves a bump.
More and more DAPs support AAC now - not just the iPod.
Zune, Sony, Samsung, Cowon, Sandisk, etc all support AAC. These are very popular players so it would make sense for J River to be proactive about AAC.
if no plans for an AAC encoder plugin are on the drawing board, at least give us the ability to pass library field data to an external encoder. this is still not possible using the external encoder plugin (with Nero or iTunesEncode). if J River, could just rework the external encoder plugin so that it could pass tags to the external encoder, we would be happy campers.
