Title: Changing the default program used to open .log files on Media Server client.
Post by: lalittle on December 14, 2006, 09:11:29 pm
How can I change the default program that an MC12 client uses to open log files over Media Server?  At the moment, the client uses Internet Explorer even though "log" files are set to open with Notepad in the Windows File Association settings.  Is there any way to get Notepad to open these files on the Media Server client as well?  The problem with Internet Explorer is that there is no formatting, so all the information gets lumped together, making it really difficult to effectively view the document.  This not a problem with Notepad, which IS used when openning these same files via "Drives and Devices" instead of over Media Server.

Thanks,

Larry

I was still hoping to get some feedback on this since it's been coming up once in a while.

Thanks again for any feedback,

Larry

I'll look at this, though it is behind quite a few other things on my list...
