Title: dubfinder in MC12
Post by: joe_marx on December 15, 2006, 02:05:15 pm
Hi guys,
anybody an Idea how I can use a dubfinder function in order to get rid of my dubs?
In MJ8 I could download a plugin for it but in MC12 I am completely clueless  ?!!
I am sure it is out there somewhere: I love MC ;D!
Thanks
cheers
Joe

The dup finder plug-In did not work well

about 4 years ago in MC9 the Option

~Dups And ~NoDups was added

Also Look In The MC Help for Smart Lists For More Information About Smart Lists

~dup=[name],[artist] only keeps files in a list when at least one other file has the same name and artist in the list. You can add as many fields as you like (e.g., duration, album, etc).

~nodup=[name],[artist] only keeps files where no other file in the set has the same set of specified fields..

You mean dups not dubs, right maaan?

If you go to the tree playlists -> smartlists --> Audio -- Tasks -- Possible duplicates there they shall be.  I would also reference Marko's duplicates guide: http://www.theganghut.co.uk/mc/dupes/.

Well... that's not exactly right, but your solution is more elegant :)
