Yes for sure.

look here you need version 2 for mc12 -- take the last version. Encoder 2.1.0 and decode 2.0.2

I've tried the latest version of the decoder and it doesn't appear that MC is picking up the files correctly as they are being imported as a document rather than an audio file.

How does one get this working in MC12 as I can't seem to find any option to allow MC to play any flac files.

I was able to get this working by converting the files to "Audio". Once I did that, I was finally able to play them just fine. The only problem there is I then had to update all files in the library from the tags in the files to get all of the audio tags in to the library.

Is there a way to fix the initial import problem so that they import as an Audio file?

This is a fairly common problem with plugins.  I think the general solution is just to restart MC after installing the plugin.

Strictly speaking, though, it's not the plugin that causes the problem, it's MC's recognition of the file extension.

Restarting MC does not solve this problem of importing new files as the wrong file type as it should be an audio file and not import under documents.

I have restarted MC numerous times, removing and reinstalling the plugin, but the same problem occurs.

As I mentioned, this is probably not the best forum for your question, since it's not really the plugin that is causing the error in this case.  I suggest searching the MC 11 and MC12 boards for solutions, as others have had this problem at one time or another.

Typically, one or more of the following will solve your problem.
1.  Restart MC.
2.  Make sure "flac" is checked in the file names.
3.  Delete the imported documents and re-import the files.
4.  Change the file type of all affected files to "audio" and restart.
