Title: Podcast Error - reappeared!
Post by: Marc on December 18, 2006, 11:48:59 am
Well, it was solved...but now it's broken again.

In this thread (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=36224.msg252655#msg252655), I asked whether something broke in MC's Podcast functionality.  Turns out, the Podcast xml exceeded the 1 MB cap that was hard-coded into MC11.  When Matt mentioned that the 1 MB cap had been bumped to 4 MB in MC12, I promptly tried it, found it worked, and then upgraded to the beta.

Well, the problem is back.  I'm now seeing the same, dreaded message:
Quote
The podcast feed is not currently available, or contains a data format error.  Please notify the webmaster, or just check back later.

File too large, probably a media file
Can you please check to see if the 4 MB cap is still in place, or has it reverted back to the previous 1 MB value?  You know, a user-configurable option would solve all this...

Thanks for checking,

Marc

Could you post the feed URL you're testing?

http://www.1001podcast.com/podcast/BFM/channel6/BFMchannel6.xml works for me with MC 12.

Thanks.

Matt,

Here's the link (http://www.kfi640.com/podcast/BillHandel.xml) to the podcast I'm trying to access.  Now don't laugh at the content...it's just a radio show that reminds me of home.  And makes me laugh.

That link is working for me with MC 12.

Could anyone else try it?

I wonder if it could be their server?
