This would be great since I don't know which songs have small album art vs. large.
-
I agree.
Currently I have to go to my image directory to look at the actual file to see the dimensions. It would be nice to see that from within MC.

Yes, and as they recommned, I store all of my art in the tag...
-
I just implemented a better workaround than looking it up from outside of MC.
I added my images folder to Import Images folders. I put all of the images into a category called Cover Art. I can now look up all of the details from within MC. It's not as good as being able to see the information in context with music (from the track or tag info) or in context with an action (like copy cover art), but at least I do not have to look outside of MC.

I store everything in the tag, but I also keep my cover art in an images folder.
-
If you hover over the Action Window Image, MC will tell you what size the image is.

Are you talking about a directory of your own creation or the one under application data? Either way a view of images in that dir and using height & width to filter out the larger images would give him what he wants to do. Replace the smaller ones.
p.s. JRiver very nicely stores them as "artist - album" so you easily know which to replace.

Thanks KingSparta, I did not know that.
They say you learn something new every day, so now the pressure is off, I've met my quota for today. ;D

They are in the folder I specify in MC.
Tools-->Options-->Track Images Location

Not if you are using a Media Server client. For some reason, it will only tell you the dimensions from the server. I reported this as a bug a few times a while back.
I agree with the initial post that a tag field showing the dimensions would be a very nice addition.
Thanks,
Larry

Yup, I saw that. Not much better than just playing the songs to see how big it is though.
A library field would be very nice for this data.
