Title: View Settings - Album thumbnails or details for only one album?
Post by: Osho on December 24, 2006, 10:46:27 am
Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to make a view setting such that album thumbnails are shown except in the case when there is only one album selected. If only one album is selected, I would like to see details view. I like to navigate through albums using album thumbnails as that is visually assisting. However, when I get to only one album, seeing only that album's thumbnail doesn't really serve any purpose. At that point, I really want to see the details of that album. Is this possible to do somehow?

thanks,
Osho

bumping this as I am hoping that gurus on this forum just didn't get a chance to read this during last couple of days and there is an answer to this question :).

How about another bump.  This is exactly what I am looking for as well.  Can the views be tweaked in some way to do this?

Thanks,
Bryan

I'd like to see a little "Files" link on album thumbnails, which would work like the current "Locate/Album" (it would put a search in the search box filtering down to just that album) plus obviously change to details list view. Then you could hit back to return to the previous thumbnails view.

Either that, or an additional album view akin to itunes/WMP, where the songs are listed next to each album thumbnail.

There was similar discussion about this in another thread as well

Looks like this is a very popular request :).
