Title: NEF image handling very slow

I keep seeing multiple DCRaw.exe processes running consuming a lot of CPU and assume they are to do with NEF file handling (thumbnail building). I've built all thumbnails now but opening NEFs is still very slow. Unfortunately handling in MC is much, much slower than the same files in Photoshop Elements.

Any plans to improve NEF handling? I like all the improvements to image handling but I've just switched to NEF for my primary image format  :(.

Look in Options > Playback > Images > RAW Image Settings

Both the cache and the decode quality can make a huge speed difference.
