Title: Replay gain and gapless playback with iPods
Post by: sithlord0338 on January 11, 2007, 03:25:44 pm
I am considering buying an 80gig iPod. I'd want to use MC12 only with an iPod, since I really dislike iTunes. My only worry is that Replay Gain wouldn't work and volume levels for tracks would be all over the place. Also, how well does gapless playback with the 5th generation iPods? If using only MC12 for Syncing how well are these two things implemented?

Also, do MC playlists transfer over okay?

If these work well, I'll probably take the plunge.

Playlist transfer without issue and replay gain is fully implemented but gapless playback is a bit more allusive. The quick answer is that if your mp3's contain post gap and pre gap information it should work most of the time.
