Title: MC can't keep track of my device

If I plug my portable device into a different USB port, or reinstall activesync, or change the device name, etc., MC thinks my device is a different one, and I can't get back to the old device settings.  Could you possibly add an option to specify that a newly-detected device is really the same as one already detected in the past?  Currently, I have to re-configure the entire sync settings every time i change any small parameter.

This feature will have to wait until MC v13.

It's tricky because often a name change would mean it really is a different device. (even if it's the same firmware)

Lots of households have two iPods for example.
