Hello,
I'm not sure where to look for this problem.
I'm working on a website that has a wav file that plays once the page is opened. In my main computer it doesn't play in explorer but wants to download the .wav file and then plays it in MC.
On another computer (also XP and IE6) it plays the sound as it should be.
I looked into the options of IE and checked both settings but they turned out to be the same.
On the other computer .wav is also associated with MC. So I guess it's in a setting I cannot find...
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Theo

Hello,
No, I checked it earlier and that was on already. I was busy with Quicktime, and at one point it was loading it's bar and played it in the window. But you cannot see it's content anymore. I set the options for the quicktime so it does not been used for this kind of action. No I don't get the download thing anymore but it doesn't play the sounds either.
So it has to do with the plugin that plays the sounds in IE6. But I don't know where to look for that...
Thanks,
Theo

Hello,
I cannot find it in these pages...
It seems that it's the program it uses for playing back the wav file.
Its on www.voorbij.nl/vvz/index.htm
when opening this page there's an aplause sound for a few seconds. When I click on Quicktime to handle these types it gives a bar where you can hear the sound. But it goes over all the content.
I'll uninstall Quicktime and see if it's gonna reset the old type of player.
Thanks,
Theo

Hello,
I found that it lies in WMP9. I clicked on the Windows Media Player icon and then I had to go through some options windows and then wmp started. After that it didn't work with that computer either anymore.
So before clicking WMP for the first time it worked and after it didn't...
I think it goes beyond my capacities to solve this.
