Is there a way to take m4b files and convert them to mp3? These files are audiobooks. I can't sync them with my iPod using MC. I tried to convert them to MP3 files using iTunes, but iTunes won't convert them.

I'm not sure why you can't sync m4b files as I haven't had a problem in the past. I haven't done it in awhile in MC so maybe something changed, but you should be able to sync them with iTunes. Since they're audiobooks, and that's all I listen to on the road, you'll want the bookmarking feature that m4b files give you. If you really want to convert them to MP3 though, I just did a web search and there are programs like JHymn that will do it.

I can sync them with iTunes. I would rather sync them with MC which is not working for me right now.
I was hoping for a trick to convert them to MP3 files, but I don't have an issue using software to do the conversion. I'll look at JHymn as an option.
Thanks...

I was hoping for a trick to convert them to MP3 files,
Conversion of m4b in MC is not possible as the type is routed to Quicktime engine.
