Title: file renaming(suggestion)
Post by: masta blasta on January 31, 2007, 11:33:42 am
generally , media center is an excellent piece of software but for me its only major downfall is the way it moves my files when i rename them, if future versions could deal with this feature ina positive way the software would be close to perfection.

I assume you're using Library Tools > Rename Files from Properties. If this is the case, as long as you don't change the Directories fields (uncheck the box) and just change the Filename, it will not move anything.

Now if you're doing a rename a different way, please let us know and I'm sure somebody will have a solution.

MC does not move the files unless you tell it to do so.
