Title: Wrong track duration on recent rips
Post by: eba on January 31, 2007, 07:38:27 pm
The last couple of CDs I have ripped with Media Center, the track duration appears to be wrong on quite a few of the tracks:

The Actual Duration on the above image is a hand typed duration to show the differences.

Anyone else had this problem or know how to correct it?

If I put the tracks into Windows Media Player, the duration is shown correctly, although downloaded to my MP3 player (via MC) they are still incorrect.

I'm using Win Vista (Business) if that could be anything to do with it...
This was with MC12 154, haven't tried with 157.

So what is correct?

did you try "Update Library from tags" normaly this fixes this problem.

The duration is reported by the decoder (input) plugin.  Looks like that particular file is MP3.  If, as King mentioned, the "Update from Tags" doesn't fix it, are they all the same file type?

Update library from tags worked, cheers :D
They're all mp3 files.
