When I try to burn a disc using the cross fader effect it doesnt work... Is there some other setting i should be adjusting or what ?
-
Are you burning an audio cd or an mp3 disk.
Crossfading only works for audio cds.
If you look in Option/Burning you will notice Crossfade is under Audio Burning, not data burning. Mp3 disks are data disks.
Hope this helps.

Actually I've tried to burn a number of audio cd's, and I've even tried different burn options, like omit silent sections, etc. but nothing works. I used to own an older version of MC and never had problems with the crossfade. What gives?
-
Well I did some testing and it does indeed appear that crossfading is broken on MediaCenter 12 and the omit silent sections also doesn't appear to work when burning an audio cd.
I still have MediaCenter 11 on my computer and that worked fine for crossfading.
Hopefully one of the crew at JRiver will have some input.
I did a search in the version 12 forum and nothing came up to indicate a problem.
It also appears that if I go into Options/Burning and set the Transition to crossfade smooth or anything else, then close and reopen it resets to Crossfade aggressive.
Something definitely seems broke.

I can't reproduce this.
Please make sure you're using the latest build (164) from the top of this board.
-
OK, I upgraded to 164 but still no crossfade.

Same here Matt. Still can't get crossfade to work when burning an audio cd with 164. I used a CDRW disk so I didn't have to waste disks. MC 11 works every time and MC 12 never works. I even tried a few earlier versions of 12 and still didn't work.
When I play the CD back on my CD player the songs change just like the original CD. The omit silent sections doesn't work either.
