Title: 150 meg consumed with DirectX and no plugins selected ?
Post by: Bluey on February 27, 2007, 04:35:50 am
I noticed MC 12 consumed over 150 megs with running DirectX Host plugin.

When I had no plugins selected, it still consumes this number.

When MC crashed previous, it listed all the directX plugins on my system, I can only
assume that it loads up all directX plugins into memory, because when I have
the plugin loaded it also scans my HD for a while.

Why must it do this ? This is not the case in fruity loops nor any other host I have used,
the plugins are not even validated in fruity loops.

Can we have support for direct X in a suitable manner in MC 12 ? Or is DirectX support
cancelled ?

When I select ASIO 24 bits and use Direct X, the audio clicks every second as
well.

You've got something else going on if you're getting audio clicks like that.

Virus checker?

Does Wav out work right?

If so, it could be the ASIO driver.  Try ASIO4all.

Memory use could be thumbnailing, which will drop when it's finished.
