Title: MC When Minimized - Learn Something New Everyday
Post by: Magic_Randy on March 04, 2007, 12:54:29 pm
I don't know if this is a new feature, or an old feature.

When MC is minimized, and sitting in the system tray, if you put your mouse over the icon, it tells useful information (not just the application name).  It displays, Artist/Album/Track/Length of what is currently playing.

It's a feature that unfortunately plays havoc with the taskbar's "Hide inactive icons". I want to see the MC icon always displayed but since it changes the name all the time, that kills the "Hide inactive icons" ability to remember a static name to always show.

I don't use the hide inactive icons so it does not effect me.

From what you are describing, it kind of sounds like a windows bug.  If MC is always changing it's name, I would think that is 'active'.  There may also be a different way for JRiver to implement this feature.
