I have set the windows XP screensaver to a very long wait period.
Yet, it seems as if some kind (!) of screensaver mechanism is on. Both the monitor and the LCD TV blank out at approx. 20 min intervals
I have checked through all the settings of my video card and I cannot find any relevant settings...
I have both an onboard videocard and a PCI-E card (nvidia geforce 6150 and 6600E respectively)
Suggestions?

Check Control Panel > Power > Monitor off time.
Note that Media Center disables the screen saver and monitor off while playing in full-screen mode.

Good point but, well, MC doesn't seem to turn off "Monitor off" on my system... (Viewing moves with the view detached)

MC only disables that when in fullscreen playback. View > Display View > Maximize (if not maximized already)
Detached display doesn't apply.

Build .185 does not disable the 'Turn off monitor' power setting, even when in theatre view and full screen ( at least for me ).
