Title: Help Installing FLAC
Post by: j1mmy on March 10, 2007, 03:28:44 pm
Having difficulty installing FLAC support.   Downloaded InFLAC 2. versions and hit the install file and it says it installs correctly.   The .dll ends up in the plugins directory.

However, I can not select FLAC to rip and it wont read my FLAC files in the library.  Any advice?

What else can I tell you to help?

thanks!

What version of MC are you using? MC11 and 12 use different flac plugins.

To rip to flac you will also need the flac encoder plugin, also available at the Sourceforge page.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=161914

As for reading flac files, is flac selected as a file type you will import in the library? Go to tools>>import folder. Within the window will be a list of supported file types. Check to see if flac is checked or not. You then may want to go to tools>>auto import options. Select a folder (if any are there. You may not be using auto import) and choose edit folder. This above applies to MC12; MC11 is similar but with no auto-import feature.
