10) If I add a disc, rip it, and it encodes (separately from reading process) then I add another disc, I consistently get an error: couldn't add disc to database (or something like that).
-
ben,
I have that constantly, with every CD I rip, no matter what I do I get a message
Action: Failed
Status: unable to add to database
John promised to check on that today and fix the program if necessary

I just hope it at least adds the CD even though it gives the error. I usually try to manually add CDs, as well, but sometimes I forget.
How does YADB handle new entries for existing CDs? I often find CDs with "1" for the first track, etc. Lots of junk. In fact, I often find junk entries along with good entries. If I update the entry and re-submit, is a third entry created? I usually correct errors but how does YADB know what is the most accurate entry? Does it use the ones that are chosen most by retrievers?

Ok, I think we've got this one fixed. Please try the next build and see if you still have any problems.
Thanks!

Martin, I've sent you an e-mail to the address you used for the Interact forum...

thanks a lot, John, I'll test it tonight!
-
I feel left out, not receiving an "email." Being that I was the first one to bring the issue to light().
-
benn600,
I'm so sorry to have tested that for you, but within the next build it should be resolved. I have to admit that there are different other threads in this forum dealing with the same kind of problems...
All the YADB problems I had had been resolved in the latest build.
Thanks, John (Gateley) - I know there are other Johns around...
Thumbs up... ;D
