Title: upgrading from 11.1 to 12 by backup and restore 11.1 to 12

I currently have both 11.1 and 12 on the same machine and have been using both by updating 11.1 and backup and restoring it to 12.  This works well with the following issue.
When backing up 11.1 then restoring that backup to 12 everything seems to be included except for the handheld player information.  My handheld is defined in 11.1 but when I backup 11.1 and restore it to 12 the handheld info is different or not included at all.  How should I keep all the info between the two versions  in sync?
