Title: Copy and paste Now Playing
Post by: gummbah on March 27, 2007, 06:05:31 am
In Foobar I use AMIP (http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/) to copy and paste a now playing synthax into chat rooms etc.
Is there a similar functionality or plugin for Media Center?

Cheers

Right click on Playing Now and choose "Copy Listening To".

Also check the Third Party plug-ins board here for Rhinobanga's Playing Now plug-in.

Excellent thanks!

Is there a way to modify the string when using the internal copying method from Media Center?
And am I right that the now playing plugin is not for free?

Cheers

No.

Yes. The current version (http://www.jdnet.co.uk/PlayingNow/pn.zip), 1.3.0.9, would set you back a paltry 5GBP (£5.00)
It allows you to set up "paste tokens" and asign them hotkeys, so, with the quick hit on your chosen combo, your specified 'token' gets pasted into the active window...

Paste tokens can be quite handy as there is no need for them to be related to MC at all. Anything you regularly find yourself typing can be added in there, all that's required is for MC to be running and the clippings are always at your disposal.
