Title: Alternate ASIO driver/Kernel streaming
Post by: chrisr on April 01, 2007, 08:37:18 pm
Can MC12 use a different ASIO driver than the bundled driver?  Alternatively, can MC12 use kernel streaming?  If the answer is "yes" to any of these, please explain how.  Thanks!

I am not sure what you mean but I am using ASIO4ALL as my driver does not comes with ASIO driver. Is that what you meant?

That might be on the right track.  MC12 has a built in ASIO driver, which I'm currently using.  I would like to use a different ASIO driver.  It sounds like that may be what you are doing.  But I believe the ASIO4ALL implementation actually uses an ASIO wrapper (essentially a separate device)--so it probably is a different course than bypassing or replacing the existing MC12 ASIO driver with a different one.

Some background:  I love JRiver MC12, but IMHO Foobar with an ASIO driver sounds better.  I think the MC12 ASIO driver is the culprit, and want to use a different ASIO driver (if there are any).
