Title: UPnP Server: Can it up the play count as songs play?

Is there a way to get the play count tag updated when a song is played on a XBMC box via the UPnP server?

Right now, it does not seem to be incrementing when the song is played via the server.

Our UPnP server does update the play count. Take a look at the play count, then go to the UPnP Server status page, play the song, make sure the status page says it is playing the song, and then re-check the play count. It should be bumped.

Got to tell you: I LOVE this UPnP server! I know it's your baby, so kuddos to you (and of course anyone else invlved if that is the case... ).

Tomorrow, I'm picking up two more Xboxes. One for the bedroom and one for my daughter... I just love MC and XBMC! It's great combination. (and I don't even play video games.... LOL!)

I have to say John, when I visited you guys about 2 years ago and Jim demonstrated this technology, I was not super interested.... To me, a Home Theather system had to be based on a PC by the TV. So I never really tried it.

Since this weekend, I am completely converted.

Showed it to my teenager and while she has been using MJ/MC since she was too young to even read English, she looked at me and said "Dad, Why haven't you done this before! I want one in my room!" LOL!

I like making my little girl happy! LOL!

Yeah, it is! But she's OK. We share a lot in terms of musical interests.... I exposed her to Led Zep and she loves them. She exposed me to The Killers and I love them!
