Hi,
Is it possible to only share Audio (and not Images, Video) via Library Server?
thanks,

Sorry... meant to reply yesterday afternoon. There's currently no filtering done.
You can make an audio library, but this requires the server to be using the audio only library too.
This is the first request for this feature - anyone else like it?

Let me elaborate on my motivation for this request. I would like to be able to access my Library Server from Internet (work/school/friend's house etc.). But I don't want to take a chance of my personal pictures and video being accessible from Internet. Even with firewall, password protection, ports closed etc. etc. I don't want that risk.

Or maybe go a step further... how about selecting which genres are shared (or not)? This way a user could filter from Audio, Images or Video files which they didn't want to share for what ever reason.

This really is a good idea. If I am away from home I really just want audio files available, and I imagine the uneeded video files would cut down on the library download time a lot.

DC - not that much: it doesn't download the video file at library load time, just the metadata...

Well I just thought that if we could filter we could save having to load a lot of metadata. What about filter out cover art requests? I was just trying to think of anything to cut down on load time and bandwith use. Haven't tested over the WAN in awhile but last time I did, it wasn't pretty.

Selectively unsharing would get my vote.
ie. Everything is shared by default, but right clicking on a tree node has "Do not share via uPnP"
