Title: can the aspect ratio of the visualizations be fixed?

Is there any chance we can get an option to tell the visualizations that the display is widescreen?

Photo cube and photo show in particular are really pretty unusable at the moment on widescreen displays because the images just end up so badly distorted. It stops me using them, to be honest.

It's particularly bad when you're in theater view and have the visualization playing at the bottom of the screen... regardless of what aspect ratio your display actually is, because then it gets REALLY squished.

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it :-(
