Title: subtitles in mc
Post by: dylanstan on April 17, 2007, 02:31:23 pm
i've just discover (thanks to the wiki page  :) ) that i can see my favourite series with subtitles in Media Center, but i've a problem:

the subtitles appear in the image. Is there a way to change this, so the subtitles would appear in the low black part of the screen?

i can't get a proper capture of how it display in BSPlayer, but the subtitles appear in the low black part, so i think that it's less "disturbing"

Any way?  ?

are you using cccp as decoder? if so:
you could try this. open in ccp the vsfilter configuration. enable: override placement. i never did it myself so i dont know if it works.

As gappie said you can adjust the subtitle placement with DirectVobSub (= vsfilter).
In the program properties: Main > General Settings > Override Placement...

If the video is not letterboxed (= does not physically contain the black border area) you must also add vertical padding in: General > Picture Size > Vertical padding...

Many many thanks for the info.

i've done what you both say, and although hasn't been easy, it seems that i've got it
