Hi,
I have been using the continuously improving Theater View Search feature using my remote (which is USBUIRT). It is really cumbersome to type in by moving left, right, up, down and select buttons. I would like to request that one should be able to type in using the keys 0-9 the same way one does for texting on a cell phone. So, for example, key 2 cycles through a,b,c,2 (no upper case needed for search as search is case insensitive).
What do you think?
thanks,
Osho

Using a standard T9 (for English, don't know the others) predictive dictionary (a la mobile phones) would be a nice touch.
Seconded. ;D

Guess who else does this...microsoft MCE. Its very nice there and would be an improvement to our beloved JRiver. I third this request, the motion carries, JRiver will now implement this feature...haha...I hope!

Good idea! You got my vote. Should be able to add special characters, because of different alphabets.... Predictive Dictionary could be a little to much though ::)
Would also be cool if you could hide the search pad and only have a search field under the buttons at the left (When using number keys as requested, or for people with keyboard etc)

Yes, please. This would be perfect with the new "jump-to-letter" feature in TheaterView. Alternatively, it would be great to be able to pull up the onscreen keyboard to select letters with the remote (for the jump-to-letter).
