Title: SOLVED Request: Visualization Studio / Audio Spectrum Analyzer Display
Post by: globetrotters1 on April 25, 2007, 11:29:49 am
Hi guys,

I use a special custom programmed Display View with integrated Spectrum Analyzer, which works well, no problems there.

My only question is:

I want to do a spectrum analyzer display like common in professional studio technology... they display 50% in green, then 30% in yellow above and the rest above 20% in red... means: a fixed zone in green, a fixed zone in yellow and one in red... I suppose it must be easy to do that

Is this possible and if yes HOW? Please tell me which parameter to set to which value...

If not

May I kindly request such a "studio" setting instead of "RGB" or "American" or "Rainbow", they look cool but have nothing to do with a real spectrum analyzer display, laugh

Anyway, would be cool if you would give me an answer!

I'm here for questions too,
take care
Martin

To see the effect clearly I'd suggest using a new visi with nothing but a spectran in it first. Scroll all the way down to 'gradient' and here it is:

{10, 1} [[0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0xFFFF00,0xFFFF00,0xFFFF00,0xFF0000,0xFF0000]]

Or if you want to tweak it so the sound occupies all colours rather than just sitting in green nearly all the time, maybe:

{10, 1} [[0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0x00FF00,0xFFFF00,0xFFFF00,0xFFFF00,0xFF0000,0xFF0000,0xFF0000]]
